1871 Wisden Paperback

£3,500.00 £2,625.00

This is a Very Very Good condition 1871 Wisden Paperback. The Eighth edition of the almanack.
The front wrapper is in lovely condition. It has a very light libris stamp near the foot – not only is it quite unusual to see such a stamp on the front cover, but it is also interesting and very surprising to realise that a Public Library had possession of such a rare Wisden. There is also a reference number on the back of the first internal page – this is otherwise a blank page that has the reference number. The stamp on the front is replicated on the first internal right-hand page.

The spine and the rear wrapper are professionally-made facsimiles. They are stunning as you would expect.
Internally there is minimal ageing and the pages within are generally in lovely condition. The page block is, as you would expect for a 135-year-old edition,  dusty and a little blotchy.

A Very Very Good condition Wisden.
