This is a super Wisden paperback from 1888, tastefully rebound. The 25th edition.

This edition retains its original covers and like the majority of editions for this year the covers are dark. They are in very very good condition and apart from a very small light corner, they are lovely.

The boards are strong – blank to the front; year and title to the spine.

Internally the contents are in super condition, with minimal ageing.

Contents Include:
County Cricket, by The Editor.
The Laws of Cricket.
Shaw’s team in Australia.
Umpires and Where to Find Them.
Deaths in 1887.
The Counties in 1887.
The Marylebone Club in 1887.
The Canadian Tour.
The L.B.W. Discussion – Expert Opinion.

“A man with a music-hall imagination” (John Arlott on Brian Johnston)

Pre 1938 Wisdens are invariably found in need of restoration. I take the view that restoring these editions to as close to their original condition as possible, is in the best interests of the book and the future owner. All restoration, repairs or enhancement are mentioned. I only use professionals to undertake this work.
