1888 Wisden Paperback

£825.00 £618.75

This is a Lovely condition Wisden paperback from 1888. The 25th edition.

The original front and rear wrappers on this edition are, when considering it is a 136-year-old almanack, in lovely condition. There is a very minor chip to the top right hand corner of the front wrapper, some light ageing on both front and rear and the covers are – typically for the 1888 – a little dark, but no text or imagery is in any way impacted upon.

The spine has at some stage been professionally restored and strengthened – it is dark and with close inspection the wording can be seen.

Internally the pages are in super condition. Naturally on some page there is the odd ageing, it is after all a 136-year-old edition.

The page block is good, a little dusty.
