1928 Wisden Paperback

£175.00

Thank you for looking at this Very Good+ condition 1928 Wisden Paperback edition. The sixty fifth almanack.

The front wrapper is excellent – it is very clean and bright and the only ageing is a slight scuff to the bottom left. The rear wrapper is equally as good, a smidgen aged to the spine edge. The spine is in very good condition, it is a little creased and has a couple of slight cracks – the block is firm, typically of 20’s paperbacks it feels very slightly loose bur this edition is firm.

Internally the hinges are lovely and the pages within are in splendid condition.

The page block is also very very nice.

“He liked slapstick, but he knew when and at whom to throw the pie. His short, square build, busy movements and low-geared run were made for comedy.”
(R.C. Robertson-Glasgow, on Patsy Hendren))
