1943, 1944 and 1945 Wisden Hardbacks – Set of Three

£1,200.00

Thank you for looking at this SUPER condition set of three original Wisden Hardbacks, 1943, 1944 and 1945. The 80th, 81st and 82nd almanacks.

The boards on all three editions are in super condition – each is strong and has no discernible bumping, scuffing or rubbing. there is a very very small light crease to the bottom right of the front board on the 1944. The gilt on the front of all three is splendid.
The spine boards are also lovely, firm and strong with minimal bumping. The spine gilt has dulled on each, which occurs on the vast majority of WW2 editions as very very little gold leaf was used during production owing to WW2 shortages.

Internally each of the editions is in super condition with bright, clean pages and minimal ageing.   The inside front and inside rear hinges on all three is splendid,

The page block is bright and clean on each.

This is a splendid set of three rare WW2 editions.
