1949 Wisden Soft Back – Lovely Condition

Thank you for looking at this Lovely condition 1949 Wisden Soft Back edition. The 86th edition.

One of the most desirable of all Wisdens. In 1948 the Australians toured and the tour became the single most successful tour of all time, by any nation. The team became known as ‘The Invincibles”- of 34 matches played, they won 25 and drew 9. Seven Australian players scored 1,000+ runs on the tour, Bradman scored 2428 and Morris 1,922. Two bowlers, Johnston and Johnson took over 200 wickets each and four other bowlers 100+ wickets each. The tour was a resounding success and in the Test series England played a very very good England team.

The front and rear covers are in Lovely condition as is the spine. The spine is strong and very solid, lovely!

Internally the hinges to the front and the rear and the rest of the pages are in lovely condition.

The page block is also in very very good condition.
