1963 Wisden Hardback

£78.00 £58.50

This is a Super Condition 1963 hardback. The 100th Edition

The boards on this, the 100th edition of the almanack, are strong and firm.   The 1963 had a record number of pages and the publishers did not glue the spine board to the page block – owing to age, opening and reading, the spine of most ’63 hardbacks become loose and creased. This edition has a lovely spine, with no creasing.

The gilt to the spine is super, readable and very bright. The front cover gilt is also splendid.

The inside hinges to the front and rear are super. The pages within are excellent

The page block is a little dusty.

The 1963 had three print runs, in April, May and June 1963,  this is from the First run in April.
