1963 Wisden Hardback
£48.00 £33.60
This is a Good+ Condition 1963 Hardback Wisden. The 100th Edition.
This edition comes with a Wisdenworld produced dust jacket, published under license from John Wisden & Co Ltd. The jacket first appeared on the 1965 Wisden but Wisdenworld produced jackets for all editions from 1946 through to 1964. Each as the traditional ‘woodcutters’ image on the front and for 1946 to 1962 and the 1964 a synopsis of contents too. The 1963 jacket is different to celebrate the 100th edition.
The front and rear boards beneath the jacket are in good condition, they are strong and firm, aged in places and the spine is creased a little.
The gilt to both the front is bright. The spine gilt is dull, bur readable.
Internally the inside hinges to the front and rear are in lovely condition, as are the pages within.
The page block is blotchy to the top
The 1963 had three print runs, in April, May and June 1963, this is from the First Run in April.
