2021 Wisden Hardback
The 2021 Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack is the 158th edition.
There is little doubt that the 2021 Wisden will be a collectors’ item.
Lawrence Booth, the Editor and all the team face a challenge on content, but even if as seems probable the number of pages is less than any Almanack for a long time, we know and trust that the 158th edition will be one that will respect the game and respect the circumstances we find ourselves in.
Whether the print run is the same or not, the 2021 will be the most desirable of editions and it will sell out. Hence my reason for advertising it so early.
Wisden Editor Lawrence Booth says of the choice of the front cover image for the 2021.:
“It was a year when cricket, like the rest of the world, was dominated by the coronavirus – and no single item symbolised the pandemic more starkly than the mask. It seemed to make sense that the cricketer wearing it should be Stuart Broad, England’s player of the summer. Dropped from the First Test against West Indies, he returned for the Second, and immediately proved his class. By the end of a season in which he became only the fourth seam bowler to pass 500 Test wickets, Broad had taken 29 at an average of just 13, and helped England to series victories over West Indies and Pakistan.”
This listing is for the HARDBACK edition. It is still in its shrink-wrapping.
The hardback 2021 is shrink wrapped. I will spot-check a random selection from each box of 16 2021 editions sent to me. It is my intention to send all orders with the edition still shrink-wrapped. I am confident there will be no issues. If your 2021, purchased from me, does have a fault please inform me immediately.
