Covid – The pandemic has impacted on the postal service, but in my experience packages are being delivered as reliably as previously.
Postal Service used – I only use Royal Mail for deliveries to within the UK. For me they offer a wonderful service that no other courier or delivery company can come close to.
I aim to send all orders out the same day, so long as the order is received by 3pm. Sometimes this is not possible, but I do try.
Postage options are very simple for UK delivery.
*If there is no hurry and receiving your order within 2-4 days is fine then postage is free. All items are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48.
*If there is no hurry and receiving your order within 2-4 days is fine then postage is free, but if you would like a Royal Mail notification that it is on the way then there is a small charge. In my experience this notification usually gives a delivery day and time slot.
*If there is urgency and you would like the order within 1-2 working days then there is a small charge and your order will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
*If a guarantee next day service is required there is a charge for Special Delivery. If an order is placed on a Friday and Special Delivery is chosen then, in my experience, there is a very good chance it will be delivered on the Saturday (but not to an office or work address). If not, then on the Monday.
All packages to the UK are tracked but under the current horrendous situation Royal Mail will not ask for a signature upon delivery.
Covid – Overseas packages have been delayed by the pandemic. So please be a little patient.
*Postal Service used – In the vast majority of cases I use standard airmail, packages are collected by Royal Mail and once they reach the overseas destination the national postal service takes over. Standard airmail packages are not tracked.
Owing to the pandemic and certain security issues around the world and enhanced checking across the USA, Australia and New Zealand packages can and do take 10-21 working days to arrive. The pandemic has also impacted on this greatly – packages over the past year have taken, in some cases, far longer.
*If the total amount you pay in postage enables me to send your order by a courier service such as FedEx or UPS then I will do so and it works out cheaper then I will refund you the difference.
*For orders of £250 or more then a courier such as FedEx or UPS will be used and these orders can be tracked door to door.
Please be aware that for some overseas countries an item cannot be sent by a tracked or signed for method to a PO Box Number.
So please give a house address when placing your order.
